Humanitarian Director, International Programme Department (permanent position)
Would you like to be a part of our international work for children’s rights, responding to humanitarian emergencies across all continents and contributing to developing world-class humanitarian policies? We have a vacancy as Humanitarian Director at our International Programme Department. As Humanitarian Director, you will provide overall strategic leadership and develop a long-term vision for Save the Children Norway’s humanitarian programme. You will lead on humanitarian policy development and support humanitarian responses at country-level and will work closely with Save the Children International and other Save the Children members.
As Humanitarian Director, you will head the Humanitarian Unit at Save the Children Norway and will also be a part of the Management Team in the International Programme Department. You will report directly to the Director of International Programmes. Considerable travel is required.
Key responsibilities
As a part of the International Programme Department Management Team, you will also be responsible for contributing to the Department’s overall goals and objectives, as well as implement Save the Children’s Child Safeguarding policy and contribute to ensuring that Save the Children Norway’s zero tolerance on fraud and any kind of harassment is adhered to.

Work location will be at the Save the Children Norway head office in Oslo, with considerable travelling. Terms and conditions will be agreed during the recruitment process.
